PWK Carbs - reassembling ??

Post by spirit »

I removed the float bowl to check the condition of the carb. Removing the float bowl was awkward - that angled tube fixed to the bottom of the bowl seemed to snag on the float and the main jet assembly.
And refitting the float bowl was very awkward - the angled pipe kept snagging on the parts .... Is it just me or is there a technique to removing and fitting the float bowl ?

No it's not just you, but I would not say it's awkward either, just a technique and something you get used to.

Thanks :) .... I was afraid I was going to damage the float assembly - I'm sure it'll get easier with practice!

Holding carb upside down and once float bowl screws are removed,it 's a case of cocking the bowl to one side as you remove it :?
Bit of practice and you will be an expert :P
