some questions ...

Post by JanBros »

1/ does anybody know the volume of an original KR1S combustion chamber ?

2/ has anybody ever cutted a cylindre head right through the sparkplughole to find out how thick the metal above the comb. chamber is ?

3/ what would be the maximum you can take off (the combustion chamber).

I'm trying so save a pitted cylindre head, but had to scrape off about 1.5mm before the last pit was gone. still usable or would it become too thin ?

head combustion chambers

2/

chamber is 8-9mm thick (approx. perpendicular to chamber contour)

thickness of material (the outer shell) of head itself (above water passages) is only 3.5-4mm

I guess 6.5-7.5 will be thick enough ?
