Crank

Post by KFOR »

Hi, having discovered the crankshaft threw its big end on one, therefore allowing the conrod to move vertically and susquently allowing the piston to "slap" against the head and the enevitable must of happened. the rod is so stiff in its web and blue around the base showing how much heat it took. ?Its a Stan Stevens worked engine by all accounts and has a "SS" engraved on both barells. So i now need to (being new im a little nieve")
rebuild the crank but not sure who to go to and get pistons, little ends etc.

Can you recommend where i can go for this ? any advise or pointers on rebuild would be appreciated. this KR1s 1991 is going on track not the road.
