Right cylinder breaks down when reaches running temp.

I have a 89 kr250 it was running fine then sprung a feul leak. I pulled the carbs off had them cleaned and fitted new gaskets. The bike starts and revs fine very responsive but when i get halfway up the street the right cylinder breaks down, i changed the coil, leads and plugs but makes no difference. Once the bike cools it will start fine. Has anyone heard of this befor.

my guess is its the stator on its way out,
thats how my bike was when my stator started to go.
the bike would be fine and then come to a stop, leave it for a few mins then it would kick in to life.
am sure someone else will come along and tell you what it is

If it was running fine before the fuel leak, and the only thing you touched was the carbs, then you should take a good long look at them first. Check that the float height is correct and that it isn't sticking. The hose to the RH carb may even have a bit of a kink in it which could restrict the fuel flow causing the carb to run dry and starving that cylinder.
